Steel
type characters held securely in a type holder are mounted as part of the
packaging process. Characters are indented or embossed into the material
as part of another machine operation. For some materials such as plastics,
the type can be heated to "brand" a code into the material.

Friction
driven, and adaptable to all major packaging operations. The Model C-302
will permanently indent code information in soft metals, foils, corrugated,
paper, pressed board and more.

specifications established by manufacturers of automatic can making and
closing equipment such as Angelus Sanitary Can Machine Company, American
Can Company and Continental Can Company.
 Heat-A-Mark™
ID System
For cosmetic, pharmaceutical and packaging applications
requiring a mark on round plastic containers or bottles. The Heat-A-Mark
Model 2212 heats steel type (Triumph Steel Type) and indents a branded
code into a variety of plastic materials. The mark becomes part of the
product and cannot be removed.
Heat-Set™
Matthews
Heat Set indents a permanent melted code into plastics and vinyl similar
to the Heat-A-Mark system except it's designed for marking on flat parts.
The Heat Set fits easily into production lines and indents a permanent,
readable code onto products.
