Reciprocating
Coders
All of Matthews reciprocating coders are typically
used in inspection applications for automotive parts, plastic products
and packaged items. These coders all share clean inking systems which
eliminate ink spills and messy marking stations.
For intermittent
coding operations, the Contact Coder Series prints logos, product codes,
expiration dates, prices, etc. on boxes, bottles, cans, glass jars, plastic
bags, metal parts and more. The
versatile Contact Coder ink marks on a variety of substrates including
plastic, metal, glass and paper. Pneumatically operated, the Contact Coder
is a reciprocating printer that marks products and packages at rates up
to 160 items per minute. The unit uses a gentle touch printhead that does
not distort the type resulting in clear, crisp codes. Matthews newest
edition to the economical Contact Coder Series is the Pulsar CC101. This
new model is based upon the design of the popular CC100. Design improvements
have made it possible to achieve a very solid, high-contrast mark with
a wide variety of ink colors.
The
Matthews Print-A-Mark® DryDot™ is a reciprocating marking system
that utilizes a non-toxic, solid ink which is heated in a special cartridge.
The result is a high quality, solid dot that can be applied to your product
or package. The compact design of the DryDot is ideal for those production
lines which have space limitations. The unit is equipped with a quick-release
ink cartridge making ink or color changeover fast and easy. Simply drop
in the ink cartridge and walk away. No liquid inks, no solvents and no
mess. The DryDot offers the user a versatile yet simple solution to handle
many quality control & quality assurance applications.
