ProPoint™ Indenting Systems offer an
economical, reliable solution for product identification, quality control
and traceability marking applications. These models are rugged, programmable
systems designed for permanently marking batch codes, part numbers, serial
numbers, date and time codes and other variable information on a wide variety
of plastics and hard metal surfaces up to 50 Rockwell C.
Microprocessor
controlled, the ProPoint fires a single carbide-tipped stylus to form
legible dot matrix characters. Precise dot spacing and XY-axis controls
give the user the flexibility needed to produce high-quality marks in
a wide range of character sizes.
 Designed
for the novice computer user, marking setup and operation is easy with
the systems' menu-driven software and on-line help keys. All marking information
is saved in a database for instant retrieval. Newer models include a low
cost, ProPoint Model 2331 which includes complete control with a hand-held
HP Jornada PC. Other models include accomodations for rounded parts, tag
marking, and hand-held stylus marking for applications requiring portability.
