Hand
Indenting Tools
The simplest form of indenting, characters are formed
by the impact force of a hammer striking an engraved steel die. Single or
multiple characters can be formed using a hand stamp. For changing text
multiple characters can be indented with one strike using a holder with
changeable type.
There are
many types of hand stamps manufactured by Matthews:
Safety
Bevel
For
general hand marking applications, sharp face gothic character face produces
sharp, indented characters with superior legibility.
Lo-Stress
For
delicate marking on pressurized pipe fittings, couplings, vessels and
aircraft parts. Unique rounded character face reduces the stress of indenting
to a minimum, meeting all low-stress marking requirements.
Dot-Design
For
low-stress marking applications. Dot-Design character style minimizes
metal displacement, reducing the stress of indenting.
Consecutive
