Permanent
and Economical Etching on Flat Glass
Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, May 3, 2001, -- Matthews
International Corporation offers the Airgrit® Models 7650 Etching
Machine for marking delicate, yet hard surfaces, such as glass, without
fracture of distortion. The new etching machine offers upgraded electronics
with enhanced safety through European Conformity (CE) standards. Much
like its predecessors, the Airgrit machine economically and permanently
offers stress-free marking on glass, without fracture or distortion.
Operated on
forced blast principle, the Airgrit produces a permanent, non-corrosive
"etched" or "frosted" impression on the surface of
flat or round parts by blowing fine abrasive grit through the relieved
portion of a rubber mask.
A compact,
bench-top, self-contained unit, the 7650 is equipped with an electronic
timer and foot pedal which guarantees a consistent, quality etched mark
every time. With a quick release stencil plate, operation of the system
is fast, simple, and reliable. An operator can learn the system in minutes.
