New,
SCP-709 Provides an Invisible Code
that is Only Seen Under Ultra-Violet Light
Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, April 2003 - Matthews
International Corporation offers a new ink for both porous and non-porous
substrates.
SCP-709, an ink sensitive to ultra-violet (UV) light
rays, was recently launched. This new ink was developed for consumer product
manufacturers who wish to internally track date and batch codes of various
components without disturbing the appearance of their product. SCP-709
is virtually invisible without the use of UV light. Recent test marking
has proven excellent adhesion on a variety of substrates including wood,
metal, paper, and fabric. When used with the S.C.I. F.I. 3200 printer,
date and batch codes can be easily marked without disturbing graphics
or the look of a product. Invisible marks are also very useful for security
marking applications throughout the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.
