New
ProPoint™ 2331 System Controlled Indenting From A Hand-Held PC
Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, December 19, 2001, --
Matthews International Corporation introduces its next generation in indenting
marking systems with the new ProPoint 2331. This new indenting system
was designed to be Matthews most economical stylus indent marker. Released
with a stand, emergency stop switch, programming software and a Hewlett
Packard Jornada Pocket PC. It is a complete and permanent marking system.
The Model
2331 fires a single solid carbide stylus to form legible characters in
sizes from 1/32" to 2" in two different fonts (Gothic and Dot-Matrix).
The unit offers straight line printing at any angle (0-360 degrees) and
radial printing for circular parts.
Now, manufacturers
can control the new ProPoint 2331 from the palm of their hand. No more
complicated commands to memorize. No more tiny LED's to mess with. The
ProPoint is controlled by a pocket PC, utilizing the familiar Windows
CE environment. This ensures simple operation from installation to standard
usage.
The 2331,
leaves a footprint no larger than a standard sheet of letter paper, freeing
more space on any production line. Finally, this model can produce consistent,
permanent marks on materials with a hardness of up to 50 Rockwell C.
