Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, December 2003 - A new drop-on-demand
ink-jet printer - the Jet-A-Mark® S.C.I. F.I.™ 3400 - has
been launched by Matthews International Corporation. A new Windows-style
software interface has been implemented is used on this new product,
which replaces the older 3200 model.
The 3400 prints 1-5 lines is flexible and reliable, and requires
no special shutdown/startup procedures. The new software features
pull-down menus, a large display with easily read characters, help-key
on every screen for function, shortcuts to frequently used tools
and can create personalized program favorites.
One or five lines
Using a pressurized ink supply, the 3400 can print one or five lines
of characters from 3/32" to 13/32", 13/16", 13/8"
in. height. A wide range of printheads are available for this new
model, which is rugged and reliable for industrial printing needs,
particularly in applications having vibration, dust and other production
line challenges. Minimal maintenance is a feature of this Matthews
ink-jet product line.
The 3400 has networking capabilities with MATTCOM™ serial interface
programming language for adapting the serial protocol to various
types of equipment.
